Sedation Dentistry

Comfort

Dentistry without
anxiety.

Oral and IV sedation for a completely anxiety-free, spa-like experience.

What It Is

Sedation Dentistry.

We offer oral and IV sedation for patients who experience dental anxiety, have a strong gag reflex, or are scheduling a longer procedure they'd prefer not to remember in detail. Combined with our calm, unhurried environment, every visit is designed to feel less like a dental appointment and more like a quiet morning at a hotel spa.

  • Oral sedation for mild anxiety
  • IV sedation for longer or more complex visits
  • Continuous monitoring by trained staff
  • Recovery in a private, calm environment

The Process

A calmer visit, by design.

From the moment you arrive, every step is structured around your comfort — from the medical review to the recovery space.

01

Health Review

A short medical history conversation determines whether oral or IV sedation is the right fit, and what to expect during and after your visit.

02

Sedation Delivered

Oral sedation is taken before you arrive; IV sedation is administered in-office. Either way, you remain deeply relaxed and continuously monitored throughout.

03

Comfortable Recovery

After your procedure, you recover in a calm, private setting before going home with a trusted adult. Most patients remember little of the visit afterward.

Common Questions

Sedation dentistry answers.

What sedation options are available?

We offer oral sedation (a prescribed pill taken before your visit) for mild to moderate anxiety, and IV sedation administered in-office for longer or more involved procedures. Dr. Vivacqua will recommend the right option after reviewing your health history.

Will I be unconscious?

No. Most patients remain awake but deeply relaxed and often remember little or nothing of the visit afterward. You can respond to instructions throughout — sedation is about comfort, not unconsciousness.

Is sedation safe?

Yes. We follow strict monitoring protocols throughout every sedation visit. The medications we use are well-established, and Dr. Vivacqua and the clinical team are trained in advanced patient monitoring.

Can I drive home afterward?

For oral and IV sedation, you'll need a trusted adult to drive you home and stay with you for a few hours afterward. We'll confirm this arrangement before your appointment.
